Meet Kennedy

Registered MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR intern

Kennedy is a EMDR therapist and 500-hour registered yoga teacher who approaches healing through a relational, person-centered, existential, and holistic lens. She works with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, recovery, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Kennedy believes healing begins with feeling safe, seen, and authentically connected within the therapeutic relationship. Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration, helping clients better understand the protective, wounded, and adaptive parts of themselves while cultivating greater self-awareness, self-trust, and emotional resilience.

Her clinical work is strongly influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS)-oriented therapy, parts-work, and existential approaches that explore meaning, identity, authenticity, freedom, and connection. She integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, somatic awareness, and experiential interventions to support nervous system regulation and deeper emotional processing.

Kennedy has experience providing individual, families, couples, and group therapy in substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment settings. She is especially passionate about supporting clients through periods of uncertainty, transition, and personal growth, helping them reconnect with themselves, their values, and a sense of purpose.

Originally from North Carolina, Kennedy now lives in Jacksonville with her husband, a naval aviator. Her own experiences navigating relocation, recovery, and life transitions inform the grounded and empathetic presence she brings into the therapy space.
